Tommy:

Tommy was my boy.  DOB: 28th April 1986.  He was born at our old house.  DIED: 14 August 2000.  So many people were interested in Tommy, but there was NO way he was going anywhere.  His full name was: 'Lynda's little Tommy'.  I miss him to this day.  Tommy was a complete dope.  He was on medication for Epilepsy for most of his life.

At one point he came in from the garden, covered in blood.  He, like me had buck teeth, so he appeared to be 'smiling' as he came to the back door.  He got a badly cut back leg (from glass).  He could have died, lost his leg or been ok.  Luckily he was ok :)  I still remember that particullar trip to the Vets.  He appeared to be grinning at the Nursing staff.  He was given a HUGE bandage (on his leg), we helped him do his 'thing' in the garden.  It took an age for his 'trousers' to grow back.  He did have one gross habit, eating the other dog's 'mess' & then wanting to give you a nice big sloppy kiss.  Tommy loved everyone, he wouldn't hurt a fly.  He had an overbite, as I did.  He was a long haired Chihuahua, but REALLY didn't look right for a Chi.

Tommy & Me:

Tommy & Me.  (Me as a little kid with Tommy in my arms).  I also remember to this day how he died.  I was on a work placement at DTL Colour Graphics (Rushden).  At lunchtime I was informed by text, from my parents that he had 'been put to sleep'.  I had a 'MAJOR cry' & then stayed at home the rest of the day.  I informed my boss at DTL.  He said to not come back in until I was ok.  I went in the next day, I had to keep myself busy.  Though I was obviously TOTALLY GUTTED/WRECKED.  They could tell.  There WILL NEVER be another dog like him, EVER.  Tommy was a COMPLETE ODD BALL.

It still comes up to this day about how dopey etc Tommy was.  Our pets are family for us, WE LOVE OUR PETS TO BITS.  I have Tommy's 'dog collar type thing', I have it on my keyring, with the rest of my keys etc.....

Buffy:

Picture
My little girl Buffy.  DOB: 20th April 2000.  I got Buffy from the Cats Protection League for a total donation of £10.  As soon as I held her I knew I had to bring her home.  Her younger brother was smaller & totally black.  He already had a home arranged for him.  Waiting for a few weeks, to get her home was hell.  I had to stay at my Sisters place while Mum let Dad know, in case he went balistic.  He fell for Buffy straight away.  Buffy is VERY much a one-person cat.  Buffy is only, ever really vocal with me. She is VERY Siamese in nature.  It takes three of us to groom & weigh Buffy.  We last groomed Buffy yesturday (25th June 2011), she had MANY huge matts in her coat.  We had to wait a while, as Mum recentley had stomach surgery.  Buffy, now as a result has a slightly shorter patch on her left side.  Where we needed to cut the matts out.

Buffy is VERY skittish, flighty & nervous etc....  She did have to stay at a specialist Vets when she was a kitten, due to a sore on her neck.  They gave her a box & she just stayed hidden away in the corner.  Kept to herself etc.....  She normally weighs between 7.4-8.8lbs.  She is VERY fast, when out in the garden.  Buffy often walks all over me during the night.  Often crashing out on my chest.  She often has to have some form of contact with me.  I wish I could get a pic of her when she's really relaxed & at ease.  But a sudden move or noise & Buffy bolts.  We ALL hate it loads when she's outside.  It scares us all BIG time.

I've just come back from a weeks holiday in Hull (7th September 2011).  I was visiting family.  During this time Buffy was pacing, pining and stayed out most of the time.
